When you are involved in an automobile accident one of the first people you come in contact with is your auto insurance company adjuster. You would assume this person has you, the policy owner, in their best interests. Unfortunately that usually isn’t the case.
The fact is most auto insurance insurance companies have so-called “preferred body shops” that they have contracts with to do volume work with cheaper parts and labor in exchange for referral business. It’s good for the body shop. It’s good for the insurance company. But it isn’t good for you or your car.
